We made Ecorio because:
1. We believe climate change is going to be one of the defining issues of our generation.
2. People care about climate change, but don't understand how to connect their daily actions to the bigger picture.
There are lots of people who are developing exciting and creative technology to allow us to live smarter, greener and more sustainable lives. Ecorio is just a small piece of the mosaic.
A word of thanks...
We have received a tremendous amount of help in getting Ecorio to where it is today. Ecorio has made a number of partnerships that have greatly improved the value of our own product and user experience. We would like to thank our partners who have made this possible:
Zimride: Zimride is an easy, money saving and dynamic ride-sharing solution. Now carpooling is fun and reliable. Since launching in 2007, Zimride’s ride-share solutions have served over 300,000 global users. Zimride allows Ecorio users to connect to this large network and start participating in ridesharing right away!
Carbonfund: Carbonfund.org is leading the fight against global climate change, making it easy and affordable for any individual, business or organization to eliminate their climate impact and hastening the transformation to a clean energy future. Carbonfund allows Ecorio users to offset their mobile carbon footprint right from their phones!

Andy Chiang - designer extraordinaire for creating a gorgeous UI for Ecorio. Andy took on our project as a side challenge over the summer and simply blew us away with his dedication and talent. He understood exactly what we needed in our user experience, branding and interaction design. He worked as hard as any of us and delivered a complete redesign of our application. Frankly we still don't really believe that Ecorio ended up looking this good.
Pauline Wong, John Orange, John Koch, Eric Elvidge, Sheldon Burshtein, Brett Slaney from Blake Cassels & Graydon who have been and continue to be a tremendous amount of help in sorting out our legal issues. Richard Lam (Rob's brother) who spent a lot of time giving us feedback, suggestions and helping us out with various operational issues, and is our first and probably biggest fan :) Esther Park who very kindly volunteered to help us put together our press releases and created the extremely useful media distribution list for us Lindsey Neely who in the process of filming us has ended up giving us lots of help and advice and even scored an on-air TV interview for us, all the while dealing with our ever changing schedules and plans! Yay Lindsey!
